Omotesando Street in Narita, Japan

I went to Japan with my mom in October 2018. We stayed in Narita for 3 days before moving on to our next destination which was the main city of Tokyo. Narita is a city on the eastern outskirts of Tokyo and is home to Tokyo’s Narita International Airport.

On the first day, we walked through the townscape in a kimono, visited the centuries-old Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, a Buddhist complex with gilded pagodas and tranquil gardens and enjoyed delicious local Japanese treats. Running between Narita train station and the temple is Omotesando, a narrow street lined with colourful shops and restaurants in the style of Japan’s Edo period.
